Customisation Guidelines

There are two types of notebook covers available for customisation:

  1. Colourful printed covers

  2. Engraved wooden covers

Each type requires a different artwork file. Please prepare and upload the correct file according to the notebook cover you select.

1. Colourful Printed Notebooks

For colourful notebooks, upload one print-ready artwork file showing both sides of the cover as one continuous unfolded layout.

File requirements:

  • Preferred format: CMYK print-ready PDF

  • Alternative formats: TIFF, PSD, AI, or high-resolution PNG

  • Include both notebook sides in one continuous layout

  • Use a minimum resolution of 300 DPI at the final print size

  • Add 3 mm bleed on all outer edges where the artwork reaches the edge

  • Keep important text, logos, QR codes, and details at least 5 mm inside the cut line

  • Embed all fonts in the PDF or convert them to outlines

  • Do not use low-resolution web images or artificially enlarged images

2. Engraved Wooden Notebooks

For engraved notebooks, upload one artwork file for a single side only. Engraving is applied to the front cover engraving area, as shown in the product template.

File requirements:

  • Artwork must be vector only

  • Preferred formats: AI, SVG, EPS, or vector PDF

  • Convert all text to outlines or curves

  • Use clean, closed vector paths

  • Use one colour only: solid black

  • Black areas will indicate the areas to be engraved

  • Remove backgrounds, shadows, gradients, textures, photographs, and raster images

  • Avoid very thin lines, tiny details, and very small text

  • Keep the design within the defined engraving area

  • Keep artwork away from edges, corners, stitching, elastic bands, and hardware

  • Do not mirror the artwork unless the production template specifically requests it
